Here's our recommended way of setting up Bustle for a mobile hospitality business.

The first question is do you want to print dockets and receipts or go paperless? 

The minimum you need to run Bustle paperless is an iPad. We recommend getting an iPad with a SIM card to keep connected to the internet. This keeps your (minimal) transaction data uploading to your Bustle hub. 

Check out our Paperless kitchen order screen (again you will need a sim card to connect to the internet to run paperless).

You can use any eftpos solution you like but if you want the speed and control of integrated eftpos (sending the bill totals directly to the eftpos terminal), you need to make sure you're using a compatible mobile eftpos solution (Currently - Smartpay Smartconnect S920 or Square (AUS Only).

For this you will need an iPad with SIM card and a bluetooth printer (check out what printers work with Bustle. Note: the Star mPop printer and cash drawer combo is ideal for this scenario.

The iPad with SIM, connects to the Internet and saves all your order & transaction data to your Bustle hub. The printer connects to your iPad via bluetooth and prints your order dockets as well as receipts (and pops the cash drawer if you have one - or you have the Star mPop.)

For a complete setup you will need electricity supply while you are trading. You can use a solution with a 4G router or a router using a 3G/4G dongle (discuss with your internet provider).

With either router mentioned above, you can purchase any of the supported ethernet printers for your dockets and receipts and also plug in your cash drawer so it opens automatically.
