Adding Regulr to your business and having a well thought-out marketing plan can have many benefits. Let's look at some of the basics to get right first, some of the tools to help you get seen and some tips on how to schedule your promotions.

1. Get the team talking to your regulars about Regulr

Brief your team about what you want to achieve with Regulr and any specials you have on offer - for Regulr customers only. Let them know that the purpose of Regulr is to look after those people who visit you often, and to increase your regular user base.

Always keep in mind: The key to success is getting your regulars to order more often through Regulr. Once you have that working successfully, everything else (people that order from seeing your posts, reading your website or simply find you locally on Regulr) - is a bonus.

2. Social media it up!

Use your social media accounts regularly for best effect (Facebook and Instagram are the hospitality staples). Social media can be your most powerful tool to attracting business. Use it to promote your specials and time it right for maximum potential.

  • Keep your accounts updated with a post at least once a week and keep your feeds relevant with your latest offerings.

  • Think about the time you post. As an example, make a post about a lunch special around 10:30am, or get the week going with an early morning coffee post on Monday.

  • Don’t overthink it - promote your latest scones out of the oven, those muffins that need to move, and add a tantalising description - together, this can be more powerful than a professional photoshoot. (But do take a little time to get images of your offerings looking mouth watering.)

  • Advertise your social media accounts anywhere and everywhere you can. Your menu, your frontage, your business cards, your website...

Be consistent!

Keep promoting the fact that you are on Regulr (and your specials) regularly. Don't give your regulars (and potential regulars) the chance to choose to go elsewhere - entice them to you and your delicious treats by pre-ordering that special through Regulr.

3. Cast multiple marketing nets

When it comes to your mobile sales marketing, be bold and increase your chances of getting noticed. There’s three areas to focus on:

In-store

You’ve captured them with attentive service and amazing flavour sensations - they’re hooked and will be coming back again… Do they know you also have a mobile menu?

Market your mobile sales In-store using

  • Point of Purchase materials - coasters, flyers, business cards.

  • Again, have the team promote Regulr in their banter… “Next time you’re swinging past, order through Regulr and we’ll bring it out to you!”

The next time they’re in the area might not be the right time for your full service, but they surely remember that barista-made coffee, freshly squeezed juice or scrumptious slice.

The customer’s situation, their personality and timely need for convenience can all come into play. Tempt them into a drive-by purchase!

Out the Door

A chalkboard outside your door can be a great way to advertise a simple selling point and now you can use it promote being on Regulr. Try combining your most popular treat in a deal for ordering through Regulr...

E.g. Order any coffee and one of our famous rhubarb scones through Regulr app for only $7.

Let those creative juices flow - you know your customers and what appeals to them.

Here's a couple of tips for getting those boards looking awesome

On the Web

The Internet is a great tool to get people finding you and coming back for more. You have the basic marketing tools in play, so cast your web using your social media accounts as we covered earlier, but also use your website to promote what you do best [and get your regulars stuck on you] - they don't call it the web for nothing!

Advertise that you take mobile orders for pick-up using Regulr - and link to

And don’t forget email - do you already have a marketing list of your customers? It can still be a powerful tool for getting the return visit.

Make sure you let your customers know about your mobile specials as well as in-store goodies. You never know who’s in the mood for a meal, or if you’ll catch them about to swing past.

4. More tools to help you get seen

A final tip that is not really anything to do with Regulr sales (but is great business sense) is to make sure you are set up on these two Google tools to increase your find-ability on the web.

Get listed on Google My Business

Get listed on Google My Business - a free service for business owners to create a business page that appears in Google search results, increasing your find-ability.

Make sure you…

  • Keep your opening hours updated

  • Keep your contact details correct

  • Link your reservations page if you have one

Set up Google Alerts

What’s better than you advertising your business? Your customers advertising for you! Set up Google alerts to get notified if your business is mentioned on the Internet. Re-share and thank the positive ones! Make sure you respond to anything you can, even the negative posts.

Now you have your tools and plan in place, get your promotional schedule set up and promote, promote, promote!
