Let's set up your SOGUI Menu!
Please make sure you have set up your Venue settings under SOGUI > Venue before setting up your menu. Fill out your venue info, upload your logo and a hero image and fill in your socials.
To get your menu ready to go live, head to SOGUI > Menus on the management site.
Within SOGUI Menus are three sections - Branding, Setup and Review (go live!)
Step 1 - Manage your Branding
Branding is where you can set up your menu to represent your venue's look and feel.

Step 2 - Manage the setup of your menu
Part 1: Menu Sections
Menu sections are displayed by default when setting up for the first time. Select the menu section you want to set up and click the Edit button.
In the Edit screen, the preview window will show any changes you make - giving you a snapshot of how the actual digital menu will appear.
You will need to decide on the following:
Section name - you can change the name here but please note that this will also change the name of the section on your posBoss iPad app menu.
Display on SOGUI Menu - this lets you display or hide the selected menu section from your digital SOGUI menu.
Section Description and Footer - this lets you write a description for the selected menu section
Pricing Display - if your items have one base price, select Simple. If you use mods that affect the price total, check out the SOGUI Menus Pricing Types article.
Item Descriptions - choose whether your items should have a description. You may have set up these descriptions when you created your items.
You probably don't need descriptions switched on for coffees, but for food it really helps you describe the dish (as you do on your current printed menus). Example below...
Part 2: Items in each Section
Items in each of your menu sections are displayed by default when setting up for the first time. Inactive items will be greyed out - this means the item won't be displayed in your SOGUI menu. Select the item you want to edit by clicking the pencil button.
A preview window will pop up and show any changes you make - giving you a snapshot of how the actual digital menu will appear.
You will need to decide on the following:
Display on SOGUI Menu - this lets you display or hide the selected item from your digital SOGUI menu.
Item name - you can change the name here but please note that this will also change the name of the section on your posBoss iPad app menu.
Short Description - this lets you write a description for the selected item (this description will only appear in your digital menu). You may have done this already when creating your items.
Step 3 - Review and Go Live!
Once you have your SOGUI Venue settings entered, your branding complete and your menu sections and items displaying as you'd like them, it's time to set your menu LIVE!
And a final reminder: Item names and menu section names are shared between SOGUI and your posBoss iPad menu. Changing one of them changes the other.
