Does Regulr allow for pick up and delivery options?

Great Question! Regulr was not designed as a delivery app. It was made to give your regulars another way to order (through their phone), pick up and pay their weekly tab.

That being said, If you have your own delivery service for your customers and wanted to use Regulr to help, there are some things you can do.

Here's the sticky points:

  • Regulr doesn't have an address locator

  • Regulr can't tell if an address is outside of your delivery zone

  • Regulr can't save an address for next time

  • Regulr doesn't have all the other bells and whistles that come with delivery apps (live trackers etc.)

But here is what you could do...

We've made Regulr quite an open app so you can add anything you like to your Regulr menu using Sections and Items.

Let's take a look at one way you could offer a Delivery element in Regulr...

Create your buttons

Add some new items and price them as needed. For this example we've created these items to cover off a possible delivery or pick up scenario. You could set the delivery option to be a flat delivery fee (or even use mods to add more options)

  • Pick up

  • Delivery to (add address in note field)

But get creative - do what works for you.

Add Section and Items to your Regulr menu

Head to Regulr > Menu and create a new section, called Pickup or Delivery in this example.
Add your newly created buttons and save!

On the Regulr app it will appear like this and your customers can select and add to their order.

Last Step - Add the items to your normal iPad menu for printing

How will the address appear?

The address will appear as typed on the order when it comes in and on the printed docket. You can also check the history of orders on the iPad app to find it.

You're done!

Well not just yet... here's some helpful info about how your customers can pay....

For Pick up - if the customer wants to pay in-store, they can. Simply grab your iPad till and head to Settings > Accounts & Vouchers > Mobile. Locate the regular's account and pay it by Cash or Card as normal. And guess what - No Regulr payment transaction fee (just the normal card one if paying that way).

You could do the same if you were collecting cash on delivery.
Or, just let it ride and they will be charged on the Sunday, easy!
